An overview of the diverse cultures that constitute the Spanish-speaking world, taught entirely in Spanish. The objective is to foster intercultural communication skills, recognize aspects of Spanish-speaking cultures and their significance to global and American society, and employ strategies to enhance language development and cultural awareness. Discussion covers the social, historical, and political experience of the Spanish-speaking people of Latin America, Spain, and the United States.
